Good morning thinkers,

How many times have you heard or said the phrase "In the know"? Well, guess what? John knew this and wanted his fellow believers to be excited about it, too! So, he shares these fantastic words in 1 John 3:18-19! Let’s dive in and explore together!—18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him;

The matter that John addresses pertains not to the assurance of salvation but rather to the question of whether the believer is genuinely embodying true Christian love. One might ponder, "Can I truly love as He has loved?”

If you feel unsure about your ability to express love for your brethren, you might be questioning your capacity to embrace the wonderful truth revealed in Jesus about that kind of love! It’s normal to feel guilty about past failures or to have a sense of inadequacy, but guess what? Acting in love, just like it says in verse 18, can help you discover if you are truly participating in that fantastic truth! So, let’s ask ourselves: are we living according to the truth of God’s word and direction, or are we getting swept away by worldly ways? It’s a great reminder that we can know our actions are rooted in truth! Let’s keep spreading that love!

Here’s to living in the Know,
